Dogtown Media Has Returned to Our Venice Beach Roots

Dogtown Media team

We’re moving! Well, moving back home, to be specific.

Dogtown Media has grown by leaps and bounds in the last five years, to a team of over thirty mobile app developers. Our main office has been in Santa Monica for the past few years, but our heart has always been in the neighborhood where we started out — as a team of two, building a startup dream out of a Venice Beach apartment.

Needless to say, we’re hugely excited to be moving back to a beautiful new main office space in our old stomping grounds of Venice Beach. (Or “Silicon Beach,” a name granted by the thriving tech scene in the area.) The new space is a big upgrade on our humble beginnings, and it feels great to be returning to our roots and the tech community we love.

Santa Monica has been kind to us, but the new heritage-inspired building has everything we’ve been missing in our mission to build beautiful mobile apps — more space, more light, better layout, and plenty of trimmings like hardwood floors and a rooftop deck.

Venice Beach is a rapidly rising location for startup innovation, with leading Los Angeles mobile app development companies like SnapChat, BuzzFeed, and Facebook holding major offices in the area. We’ve met some of our favorite small startups here, and look forward to many more “only in Venice” connections. (Not to mention more team retreats to the waterfront.)

Tech has become a major contributor to the local economy, and we’re proud to be a part of that movement. Working with our peers to create world-changing mobile tech has been a privilege for which we’re eternally grateful.

A big “thank you” is in order — to our team, our neighbors, and the Venice Beach tech community. It’s an honor to call this place our home.
