iPhone App Developers Preparing for iOS 7 Release

April 1, 2013 - 1 minute read

Apple is dropping hints to the iPhone app developer community that iOS 7 could be on the way. Mobile developers are expecting Apple to announce the formal release of the iOS 7 software framework. It is possible that a new and improved iPhone5S may be shown off at this year’s WWDC conference.

WWDC is one of the most popular and sought after developer conferences on earth. Tickets to WWDC in 2012 sold out within an hour of going on sale and cost $1,600 per ticket. According to Gotta Be Mobile, a developer news network, Apple announced new versions of iOS at WWDC, IOS 5 at WWDC 2011 and iOS 6 at WWDC 2012. Apple kept the iOS 5 release in beta for over 120 days and the iOS 6 release in beta for over 90 days before releasing it shortly before a new iPhone.

As a Los Angeles iPad app developer, our mobile development team is fairly confident we’ll be seeing Apple debut iOS 7 at the upcoming WWDC event. A June release of the iPhone5S is much more difficult to predict. Mobile developers should be wary of the iPhone rumor mill. Its simply to early to tell when Apple will release the next version of the iPhone to the public.
